Web Design & Development
Your business needs a captivating and easy to navigate web design to be successful with your marketing strategy.
Exceptional web design is important because it’s a crucial piece of your inbound marketing strategy. Once I design your website, the next step of your website marketing plan is to develop a content marketing strategy. Therefore, your website content should be top-notch, your website SEO should be meticulous, and your navigation should be clear. However, if your business serves a local market like Longmont, Denver, or Colorado Springs we want your local SEO and website information to effectively reflect your area so you can bring your customers to you.
Websites have heavily evolved from their humble beginnings, largely due to portable devices and smartphones. Additionally, it’s important to know that in today’s fast paced environment, you are essentially required to have a speedy and mobile responsive website if you want to boost your conversions and lower your bounce rate. Due to the evolution of web design, I specialize in creating one-of-a-kind high performance web environments that are user friendly and mobile optimized.
- Brand Discovery: The first step in my web design process is to take the time to understand your brand’s core values, mission statement, and unique selling point (USP). My fully comprehensive creative brief will ask the right questions to get us started on your brand discovery.
- Wireframe: The next step in our process is to start fleshing out the layout and user experience for your site via wire framing. This helps me setup your page structure and flow. At this point I will develop a mockup of your site visuals to send to you for review. This is where you will have some input so you feel involved in your web design.
- Development: Once I’ve finalized your web visuals and layout, I will start working on developing your brand new website. This includes setting up your host and domain, designing, copywriting, and optimizing your website for Google.
- Launch: Your website is a go! Now that we’ve launched your website it’s time to share your newfound success with your friends, family, and potential clients.
While I do basic on-page SEO as I build your website, there are additional off-page SEO tactics that we employ to increase your Google rankings. Check out my SEO services here to see how I can help your brand. If you’re looking for a bigger boost in traffic, pay-per-click advertising can increase the chance of finding a potential client.
Fully responsive means your website adapts to the users environment in which it is viewed. The number of mobile users is growing at a rapid rate. As humans, we love the accessibility and mobility that technology provides. Therefore, all websites created by me are mobile optimized for both phones and tablets. I implement responsive breakpoint CSS designs so your website looks great at any resolution.
Search Engine Optimized
Basic SEO services are applied to your website as I build it such as keyword optimized copy, metadescriptions, URL slugs, image optimization, and more. However, there are additional SEO tactics that we can employ on a regular basis to increase your Google rankings like blog posting, backlinking, and other factors that drive traffic to your website. Make sure you check out my SEO services page for more.
Professional, consistent, and branded content creation is vital to your website’s success. My web design packages include more than world-class design and image editing, I also write keyword optimized content based on your products/services and unique selling point. This helps your customer know what service or product you offer and why you’re different.

What do they need? What do they value? What are their abilities? What are their limitations?
What website CMS and hosting solution is best for me?
Wix is easily one of the simplest website WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editors on the market today. Due to the large amount of available templates, it has exploded in popularity. Wix allows for complete control over things like mobile design and element placement/layout. Cole Don Media can easily transform an average website into a thriving online Wix environment!
Weebly is another drag-and-drop editor that doesn’t quite have the same robust website template options that Wix or Squarespace does, but still provides a decent selection. While you may not have the same template selection as you might in Wix or Squarespace, you can still create a unique and captivating website or e-commerce store with Weebly.
Shopify is the ultimate hybrid shopping experience. It keeps track of inventory whether you’re selling online or in a brick-and-mortar store. Shopify features an app that allows you to sell and take payments in person. Shopify also has an integrated easy-to-setup payment gateway and allows for several different payment options such as PayPal.
WordPress is easily the most widely-utilized and profound CMS on the web. WordPress has the largest selection of templates and plugins available without a doubt. While some may be free, you will most likely end up paying for a template or plugin- and they vary in price.
WordPress has two options; You can purchase a hosting plan on wordpress.com, or you can host your own with wordpress.org. While wordpress.com isn’t the easiest hosting option for your wallet, it does come with some robust features and the best live chat support I’ve ever used.
If you want a third party host, wordpress.org gives you full control over your website and allows things like FTP uploading. WordPress is also great for scaling and adding e-commerce functionality to your site. We also have extensive experience setting up WooCommerce for several online e-commerce retailers.
